PNDR is coming soon: a public register of notices and disputes about strata buildings. When it opens, put your notice or dispute on record, declared true by you, with room for the owners corporation's reply beside it.

What you will see

Owners corporation in legal proceedings over building defects: cost to owners not yet known

  • Lodged 12 March by the owner of a lot
  • Declared true by the person who lodged it
  • Status: open

The committee will report the expected cost at the next general meeting.

  1. What the dispute is about
  2. When it was lodged
  3. Who lodged it
  4. That it was declared true
  5. Where it stands now
  6. The owners corporation's reply, beside it

How it will work

  1. Someone in a dispute lodges a notice or dispute and declares it true.

  2. PNDR reviews it for content rules before it is published: minutes, not months.

  3. The owners corporation can reply. Its reply is shown beside it. PNDR does not take sides or give opinions.

  4. Anyone can look up the building's address and read both.

Two questions to ask before you sign

Is the building in legal proceedings?

Is a special levy coming for works it has not saved for?

Both are worth knowing before you sign, not after you settle. When PNDR opens, look up the address and read any notices or disputes about legal proceedings, levies, repairs or defects, with any reply from the owners corporation beside each one.

Watch a building

Name a building and PNDR will tell you when a notice or dispute is lodged, answered or resolved.

Questions

What is PNDR?

A public register of notices and disputes about strata buildings, starting in Victoria. It is not open yet.

When will it open?

Register your interest and we will tell you the day it opens.

Who sees my details?

Registering your interest does not lodge anything. We use your details to tell you when PNDR opens.

Does PNDR decide who is right?

No. Each notice or dispute will be declared true by the person who lodged it and reviewed for content rules, not for whether it is true. Any reply from the owners corporation sits beside it.
